Finance Coordinator at Land In Our Names (LION)

Land in Our Names is currently searching for a Finance Coordinator. The Finance Coordinator will work alongside our core collective to maintain our financial accounts in ways that prioritise financial accountability. The role is for 2 days per month, with the possibility of expanding depending on mutual agreement and interest.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Attend monthly hour-long Finance meetings with the core collective
• Check and pay salaries based on PAYE payslips provided by our payroll provider for payment on the last Friday of every month for core/associate collective members
• Pay pension contributions according the data provided by the payroll provider
• Process invoices from freelancers or other service providers on a fortnightly basis
• Bookkeeping
• Preparing management accounts including updating our internal records on cashflow and income/expenditure every month
• Supporting the accountant in the preparation of yearly financial accounts to deliver at our Annual General Meetings and to our wider community to facilitate financial accountability and transparency
• Support with providing accounts for other external audits e.g. funders, HMRC in conjunction with the core collective
• Support with the scouting, research and development of funding proposals

This role has the potential to expand into a more strategic role.
