Actions aren’t just for spectacle or attention, they are an opportunity for us to show our power, build leadership and advance our campaign goals.

This training explores why actions are a valuable organising tool, when to take action, and how to consider care in your plans. Using interactive exercises and frameworks, we will work through what makes an impactful action, how to build momentum and how to turn action-planning into effective results. You will leave ready to create actions that are centred on care and respect.

Outcomes:

  • Understand the characteristics of an organising action.
  • Practise plotting out actions towards your campaign goal and building power.
  • Reflect on how to effectively apply action principles to your organising.

This training is part of our foundations series, designed for both new and experienced organisers who are ready to develop practical organising skills. We recommend taking the introduction training first to understand the core concepts of transformative community organising.
