Workshop

Power and Power Mapping

Develop your understanding of power and how to use it effectively in organising.

Act Build Change | 26 Nov 2025 | Online

An illustration of one vertical and one horizontal line, both centred, with labels at each end. Top and bottom is 'most power' and 'least power'; left and right is 'against' and 'for'. There are sticky notes of various colours stuck across the board, each with a scribbled note on it.

Building relational power is one of the foundations of community organising. Having a clear definition of power, and learning how to unpack it, helps us build power that wins real change.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn how power relates to community organising.
  • Engage with your peers on understanding power.
  • Practise power mapping to help you think about how to organise.
