Head of Campaigns and Communications at Freedom from Torture

Freedom from Torture is the Winner of the Overall Award for Excellence and the top prize for Campaigns and Advocacy at the 2023 Charity Awards.  

We have an exciting opportunity to lead our campaigns and communications team, delivering innovative and impactful campaigns in support of Freedom from Torture’s influencing goals to ensure the international ban on torture is upheld and survivors of torture are treated fairly within the UK asylum system.

The Head of Campaigns and Communications is responsible for our brand, marketing, digital, campaigning and media function, delivering impactful messages to influence, harness engagement and support income generation at Freedom from Torture.

This pivotal role supports Freedom from Torture to reach more people, to highlight the impact of our specialist services for survivors of torture and to engage the public and politicians to support our vision for a world free from torture.

The impactful campaigns and strategic communications that this role oversees will support income growth, media profile and influencing.  It will shape how Freedom from Torture communicates, reaching new audiences and lead the development of a multi-year campaign to uphold the torture ban.

Managing a team of digital, media and brand experts, the successful candidate will build a strong network of stakeholder relationships to support success in fundraising and influencing.
