Join OSH to oversee the delivery and development of their residential programmes, leadership training and youth hubs for young people with refugee backgrounds.

Reporting to the CEO and managing two senior programme leads, the Head of Programmes oversees residential programmes, leadership development and community hubs, ensuring they are safe, high-quality, youth-led and aligned to organisational strategy.

This is a senior leadership role within a growing charity. While initially focused on delivering the agreed strategic direction, the postholder will grow into greater autonomy and influence over programme development as they embed within OSH’s ethos and model.

OSH are particularly interested in candidates with experience in youth programming, residential delivery and leadership development, as well as a strong understanding of safeguarding.

Our Second Home

We are a youth movement that empowers refugees and asylum seekers to flourish in the place that they call home.

There are thousands of young refugees and migrants arriving in this country every year. These young people are often isolated and lonely, living in foster care or supported accommodation, without the necessary infrastructure to develop positive social relationships or learn vital skills.

OSH exists to plug this gap.

It works like this: young refugees and asylum seekers come on an OSH residential trip. They cook together. Play games. Learn dances from each other's cultures. Many had their childhoods taken away from them and at OSH they just get to be kids.

The graduates of these trips take part in leadership training and go on to be the ones who take the reins. They help lead the movement.

This is just the beginning of a positive cycle that just needs one big push. OSH is building the next generation of leaders from refugee backgrounds. These young migrants will become role models and leaders in our movement and in local communities, supporting those coming after.
